Aquila appoints The Vanguard as creative agency
Iconic Australian shoe brand Aquila has been providing men with sartorial shoe choices since 1958. Aquila is proud to announce the expansion of their product offering into menswear. The decision heralds the beginning of a longer-term strategy to provide a holistic menswear offering to Australia’s best-dressed men.
Aquila is excited to announce the appointment of hybrid advertising agency, The Vanguard, which launched in August of last year, to its creative services roster. The Vanguard has been charged with establishing Aquila’s new strategic direction while undertaking brand development and advertising communications. Aquila continues their long-term partnership with G&C to provide digital communications while Two Hands Agency will continue to provide social media communications.
The Vanguard is the first agency of its kind to combine specialist sensory, creative, digital and experiential services within the framework of an advertising offering.
Says Deryll Naidoo, co-founder & creative partner of The Vanguard: “We are excited by the opportunity to work with such an iconic Australian brand like Aquila and position the business for future growth. The team at Aquila are passionate and willing to explore exciting possibilities which we know is a recipe for success.”
Says Luke Longo, director of Aquila: “Aquila is thrilled to have The Vanguard on board to lead the creative direction for our brand. We welcome their fresh ideas and strategies and look forward to the team joining forces with our existing digital and social agencies to provide a strong strategic direction for the Aquila brand.”

im wondering if the bonsai tree will feature in the campaign…
I love it.
I’d love to get stuck into the vanguard’s website. It would be such fun to help the world’s first specialist sensory agency be more than just a landing page. Please let me help, pleeeeeeeze!
Dearest 17 year old….
Thank you for pointing out what I am certain The Vanguard is already aware of. I’m sure you will be the first to know when they launch their full website.
Perhaps in return… you might consider letting them know when your balls have dropped so they can take your comments seriously.
… i wonder if ‘@ 17 year old’ is actually the agency posing as a concerned reader… hmmmm
Go D! Well done
