DDB NZ wins Rialto Channel after competitive pitch – includes all branding and digital services

Screen shot 2013-02-15 at 5.35.14 AM.jpgDDB Group NZ has won the coveted business of Rialto Channel, available on SKY Channel 025, following a competitive pitch, which includes all branding and digital services.

Rialto channel hasn’t had an ad agency before and marketing was done in house as well as through SKY (created for a number of years by SKY agency DDB) .

 

DDB’s first task will be to re-brand the Rialto Channel.

 

Roger Wyllie, General Manager of Rialto Channel, was looking for a fresh direction for the New Zealand-owned channel, and DDB’s pitch was the clear front runner: “As Rialto Channel’s content becomes more sought after we need to revitalise the brand so it’s truly representative of the high quality of independent movies and documentaries on offer.

“DDB created an incredibly strong concept for the Rialto Channel and presented an integrated campaign that we envisage will hit all the right notes with both old and new Rialto Channel viewers,” says Mr Wyllie.

 

Says Justin Mowday, DDB MD: “It goes without saying that when you get asked to pitch for a brand as creative and independent as Rialto Channel, you fight hard for it. We’re delighted to win Rialto Channel’s business and look forward to giving the channel a new feel,” says Mowday.
