image.jpgAfter 20 years under the stewardship of Paul and Barry Hickman, CI Studios in Melbourne has been sold to a group of former employees. Carlos Alcaide (left) and Richard Wilson (right) and stakeholder Nicky Finlay (middle) took over the reigns on the 1st of January, promising a fresh start for one of the longest running names in Australian photography.

While many of the things that made the old CI Studios great remain, like the full production service and world-class post-production, there are a couple of significant changes. For example the newly refurbished studio, one street away from the old CI, situated at 32-38 Gwynne Street, Richmond.

For more information, contact Nicky Finlay on 0423 313 917 or +61 3 9429 9733.

Says Finlay: “We work very closely with our clients throughout the whole production process from start to finish, and have kept this in mind with the new studio design. We’re really looking forward to creating a studio that clients feel 100% comfortable in.”

At the heart of the new CI’s offering is premium commercial photography from Alcaide, Chris Daile, Tintin Hedberg, recently relocated from Sydney, and newest recruit, food photographer, James Morgan.

Plus, there’s a state of the art post production facility managed by Wilson, with six of Melbourne’s best retouchers and CGI artists.

Says Finlay: “We’ll be advising clients and friends well in advance of the official launch date. And of course, there will be one hell of a party.”
