Demand for content marketing expertise is growing throughout the region, and it was a logical progression in the growth of the King Content business that it should move into the fastest growing region in the world, according to CEO Craig Hodges.

Says Hodges: “Because content marketing is an emerging discipline, many of our clients in Australia wanted similar services for their business in Asia which opened our eyes to the opportunity and potential.”

King Content’s Singapore office is headed up by commercial director Peter Bakker and editorial manager Peter Chai. A locally based pool of freelancers is currently being built to service clients in the region.

Bakker is the founder of Singapore-based publishing services company Immedia, based in Singapore, and was previously Publisher of Travel + Leisure magazine in Australia. He’s also held marketing and circulation roles at The Financial Times and The Economist.

Chai has held a variety of editorial roles including sub-editor at Fairfax Magazines, assistant editor of Travel + Leisure and foreign correspondent for film industry bible, Variety.

Says Hodges: “It’s a great coup for us to have a team led by people of the calibre of Peter and Paul with their commercial and editorial experience.

“There is a huge appetite for content marketing in the Asia Pacific and we anticipate this will only continue to grow.”
