McDonald’s lets you play with your food in the new Monopoly promo in NZ + OZ via DDB NZ
The new launch of McDonald’s Monopoly Millionaire promotion across New Zealand and Australia, lets people see what it’s like when the game pieces, hotels and money are real via DDB New Zealand.
The TV spots, shot by Adam Gunser of Exit Films and animated by Toybox Auckland, introduce elements from the game into the real world and just like kids dreamed, they’re on a scale bigger than ever before. From giant hotel pieces on city streets, to oversized dice rolling through suburban neighbourhoods and giving out free parking across the city, Macca’s is bringing two of the most iconic brands together for one epic event.
The launch ad is supported by radio and an extensive outdoor campaign, including ambient hotel shaped bus shelters. Plus on the first day of the promotion McDonald’s even accepted Monopoly money in-store, all in the name of encouraging the young at heart to play with their food.

McDonalds take your stinking add back to New Zealand.
It affronts me that a company like McDonalds, saves a few bucks having an ad made in NZ.
Don’t they know that New Zealanders are the rag and bone men of the South Pacific ?
As I feel as Australia is a sth pacific nation the-like,pointing out the rag & bone of country men,
It had a curse on me in aus,and once wanted to not participate in even thought why they haven’t closed it as I should of been a winner,to in a form.unlucky sure folks !
