Qantas this week with the help of Tourism Gold Coast and Gold Coast Airport, has been building an aircraft out of sand to celebrate Qantas' return to the Gold Coast showing until 7pm Friday, February 8th in front of Customs House, Circular Quay, Sydney.
Everyone is invited to come down and watch the artists bring the sculpture to life and have photos with the spectacular work of art.

The life size sand sculpture incorporating the inside of a Qantas
B737-800 is complete with a flight deck, six rows of seats, pilots and
passengers. Visitors are also encouraged to spot sand sculptures of
Channel Nine's Steve Jacobs and Dame Edna.
Until 14 February
Qantas is offering its

Facebook fans the chance win flights to the Gold
Coast. To enter, fans can upload a photo of themselves via the Qantas
Facebook "head in the sand" application. Then answer in 25 words or less
"why you would like to go the Gold Coast on your next Holiday." The
most creative answers will have the chance to win

one of 10 return economy flights for them and a friend to the Gold Coast.
To
support the activity from today until 11 February Qantas launches its
retail offer flying customers from Sydney to the Gold Coast for $89 one
way in
