Sophie Price.jpgIndependent advertising agency The Hallway has announced the appointment of ex-Monkeys planning director Sophie Price as head of planning.

Price’s previous roles include national planning director, UM; channel planning director, The Campaign Palace and planning partner, Happy Soldiers.

Says Jules Hall, managing partner, The Hallway: “Sophie’s reputation precedes her. She is one of Australia’s, if not the world’s, most talented and proven planners. Sophie encompasses what every modern planner should be – an intimate understanding of both media and creative strategy. Having met with senior strategists from London to Cape Town to fill this role it’s surprising how few planners can genuinely make that claim. At The Hallway we see that combination as essential to consistently deliver industry defining work.”

Price’s work includes the category defining Tontine Date Stamp initiative. She is a member of an elite club of strategists who have won both Effies and Media Federation (MFA) Grand Prixes, in fact Price takes that one step further, having won two MFA Grand Prixes.

Says Price: “Joining The Hallway at this stage in their growth is incredibly exciting. We have a shared view of the future of communications and the role planning plays in achieving that vision.

“The agency’s breadth of capabilities and the level of talent and ambition is fantastic. To have PR, advertising, content and technology all operating as one lean team puts the agency in a really strong position.”

This announcement comes off the back of a string of new business wins for The Hallway and the recent launch of their integrated PR offering. The Hallway is currently a finalist for the AdNews Agency of the Year Awards in the Independent Agency category.
