Victoria Police shows potential PSOs ‘a night in the life’ in online campaign via Fenton Stephens
Filmed entirely in first person, ‘A Night in The Life’ is an interactive online video aimed at giving potential Protective Services Officers (PSOs) a taste of the job before they apply via Melbourne agency, Fenton Stephens.
The video adds an extra element to their current recruitment campaign for Victoria Police.
Applicants join two real PSOs as they conduct a patrol of one of Melbourne’s train stations. During the video, potential PSOs can test their observation and communication skills as if they were actually on duty.
Says Merita Tabain, Victoria Police director of media and corporate communications: “We wanted to give applicants the closest experience to the real thing, while separating those who ‘have it’ from those who don’t.”
The video is part of a fully integrated recruitment campaign created by Fenton Stephens, themed ‘Are you ready to stand out?”. The campaign is currently running across Victorian television, press, radio, outdoor sites and online.

Be a Victorian copper. Roam the streets hassling upstanding citizens just waiting for a mate.
Do you get to beat the shit out of a homeless person for not paying their $4 train fare? Do you get to hassle students because you don’t like the colour of their skin and that they can read?
Would have been cool if it used my Facebook information to know I was a female…
