producer for the Royal Australian Navy’s International Fleet Review Pyrotechnics and Lightshow Spectacular, on the evening of 5 October 2013.

The International Fleet Review is billed to be one of the biggest events in Sydney since the 2000 Olympics, with Saturday night’s pyro, light and projection spectacular being the jewel in the crown for the week-long celebrations.

The huge public event will rival Sydney New Year’s Eve, an event Imagination is also the

creative team for – with Sydney’s Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Circular Quay as centre stage for the huge event.

Imagination’s managing director Antony Gowthorp says the team is very proud to have been chosen as the creative agency to direct and produce this grand outdoor event.

Says Gowthorp: “The entire Fleet Review is going to be bigger than anything held on Sydney Harbour in recent years, with the Navy expecting warships and tall-ships from over 20 countries. It’s our job to design a show that celebrates the Navy’s centenary in Sydney proud history in a way that appeals to millions of people around the harbour, on television, and around the world.

“Celebrations will be staged on both land and water, illuminating the stunning Sydney harbour with a jaw-dropping lightshow and fireworks display the whole family can enjoy.”

Heath Campanaro, project director says Imagination is tasked with creating a public spectacular of grand scale and impact. Billed to be among the biggest events ever staged in Sydney, Campanaro says Imagination will be doing things never seen before in Australia, or indeed anywhere in the world.

Says Campanaro: “As a creative agency it’s a golden opportunity to dream up a spectacular to share and celebrate our nation’s history and to tell the 100 year story of the naval fleet in Sydney.”

With attendance expected to surpass 1M, Project Director Heath Campanaro says the public can expect an unforgettable experience.

Says Campanaro: “This event specifically marks 100 years since the first fleet of 7 Royal Australian Navy vessels entered the harbour. It is going to be big. For Imagineers it’s a great honor to work on a public and historic event of this scale. And once again the Sydney Harbour is the most magnificent canvas to work with, one we know well.”
