Matt Sterne joins branded content agency Edge in newly created executive creative director role

Matt Sterne colour 2.jpgContent agency Edge has appointed Matt Sterne to the position of executive creative director, a first for the agency.

With a background in digital, Sterne’s key objective will be bringing his creative experience and outside the box thinking to help Edge remain at the forefront of the branded content space.

Says Sterne: “There’s a perception that only the bigger agencies produce quality work however I took the position with Edge because I could see they were really leading the way in the hot topic of branded content. Edge’s heritage in editorial was a real draw card as it sets them apart. They are masters of storytelling which shows in the quality of work and the results they produce.”

Says Fergus Stoddart, Edge commercial director: “Bringing Matt on board is a real tipping point for Edge. Over the last several years we have evolved from custom magazines to delivering content campaigns across multiple platforms and Matt’s appointment gives us even more creative fire power.

“Matt brings over 13 years of agency experience to this position as well as a strong background in digital marketing. We are delighted to have such a talented and experienced Creative Director join the team.”

Sterne joins Edge after more than a decade in digital and more recently, making the crossover to integrated with stints at agencies such as Lowe, Havas Worldwide and GPY&R Group.
