PetRescue breaks the news and raises awareness in new CSA via Whybin\TBWA Melbourne
Not-for-profit organisation PetRescue and Whybin\TBWA Melbourne will launch a new Community Service Announcement this week, aiming to improve outcomes for rescue animals in Australia.
PetRescue is Australia’s largest online directory of homeless animals, and to date have helped find new, loving families for over 150,000 pets.
The television spot from Whybin/TBWA Melbourne aims to raise awareness of PetRescue’s important work, and drive people to the website to find out more, or adopt a new family member for themselves.
Vickie Davy, director at PetRescue says the campaign will help the organisation at an important time of the year.
Says Davy: “PetRescue are delighted to have such an engaging TVC going to air during the crucial summer period, when homeless pet numbers are at their highest. PetRescue believes that pets, especially rescued pets, bring enormous joy into people’s lives. This advert captures that bond, showing that pets are more than companions, they’re family members.
“We think the spot delivers a really serious message around animal adoption in a lighthearted, humorous way, which is in line with the PetRescue brand.”
The 30-second TVC has been appearing as a Community Service Announcement nationally from last week.

This could have easily turned out the same as any other oddball/absurdist me-too comedy spot out there – but it hasn’t – and I don’t know why; but I like it.
Simple gag, like it. Punters will as well.
Sweet. Lovely direction. Will work better on TV when people don’t know upfront that it’s about pet adoption.
Me too Awkward. It’s cute.
Very good.
Just when I thought Whybins Melbourne were getting ok….
Fuck it, how can anyone think this is good?
Seriously.,you are an idiot. Nice spot. And i am sure Whybins Melbourne are not waiting for affirmation from that twit.
Seriously- how would you like it if someone slagged off one of your brochures?
