pic3.jpgLunch Partners, Sydney, has launched the first in their ‘art@lunch’ series with the work of renowned sculptural and neon artist, Giles Ryder held at Thursday 14, Friday 15 and Saturday 16 from 12 until 5pm, 300 Glenmore Rd, Paddington.

The exhibition, ‘Interference’, was recently hailed as ‘recommended viewing’ by the Sydney Morning Herald’s Spectrum.

For a lunch reservation with the artists, email reservations@lunchpartners.com.au.

SMH Spectrum Review: “The hallucinogenic play between neon floor works and reflective coloured “mirror chromes” has been a staple of Giles Ryder’s repertoire for the past decade but recent residencies in Korea and Thailand have added holographic pigments, gold leaf and stickers to his multidimensional paintings and sculptures.”

Giles Ryder’s ‘Interference’ is the first of a series of art@lunch events curated by ex Art and Australia’s Karen Brown.

Says Darryn Devlin, Lunch Partner: “An integral part of the lunch@art series is creating a series of lunches with the exhibition artists that is a mash-up of collaborators and clients, artists, creatives and consumers, and anyone who is just good lunch company.

“We wanted to create a space that encouraged a disparate and delightful mix of people and uses. For ultimately, at the heart of our Lunch Partners philosophy, is a belief that no matter how much technology invades and persuades our lives, it is an empathy and understanding of people that is still our core business, and quite frankly, if you can’t sit down and enjoy lunch with someone, then they shouldn’t be your client, your co-worker, or most importantly, your consumer. “

Following ‘Interference’ is the launch and exhibition of POOL COLLECTIVE 02
