Us to change name to Joy as Wills takes equity stake in Razor Group – Us ECD Christy Peacock to creative leader role of The Joy Group ANZ
Following the New Year’s Day forming of new Auckland agency Joy after the collapse of Publicis Mojo in New Zealand at Christmas – as reported by CB, former Mojo chief and Joy founder Graeme Wills has confirmed he has taken a major equity share in the Razor Group, owner of Sydney creative agency Us and media agency Razor.
As a result, Us will be rebranded Joy and Us ECD Christy Peacock (pictured) will be creative leader of a new entity The Joy Group – with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.
Peacock, who joined Us in October 2011 after a year at Publicis owned Fallon USA, has worked with Wills before during his time at Publicis Mojo
Wills’ involvement with The Razor Group appears to have been since at least mid last year as joyagency.co was registered by The Razor Group in August.

What a Joy-oUs occasion!
that’s worse than US
This is the most difficult to understand article I’ve ever read on the blog (not the author’s fault). Terrible names.
Cadbury comes to mind.
I don’t know about ‘Joy’, but it is entirely appropriate that GW owns something called ‘Razor’. Look forward to rounds of job cuts at the agency, usually announced just before Christmas. Joy.
LOVE the name. About time an agency opened specialising in the Gay and Lesbian community.
Joy. The most over-used word in advertising.
Joy is a gay name – especially if you’re a gay radio station.
Ahhhhhhh, the painfully hip names we agency folk inflict on ourselves and those who have the misfortune to deal with us. Agree with Whaaa (above) , this article was almost the Abbott & Costello “Who’s On First” skit all over again….
What joy for us, eh?
Quite shallow commentary from you guys today. With Christy heading up creative I predict many of you will be leaving your books at their front desk before too long.
Kill it Christy.
@Gaydar – Using gay as a pejorative is just lazy English. Say what you mean without using some worn-out expression used by immature teenage boys.

Stop whining and do something.
Ignore ’em Peacock.
You’ll knock it out of the park. You always do.
