Wattyl_new site home page.jpgValspar’s Wattyl Paint has launched a new consumer-facing website for Australia, and a microsite in association with Nine Network’s The Block All Stars, both created and executed by strategic marketing agency Komosion.

The customer website wattyl.com.au makes it easier for the iconic paint brand’s customers to find product and service information online, and includes a new tool, colourdesigner.net.au, which enables the trade, architects and specifiers to order A5 samples and purchase fan decks online.

Komosion has also produced a microsite for the Wattyl brand to leverage its sponsorship of the Nine Network’s The Block All Stars. Called The Wattyl Hub, the site theblock.wattyl.com.au allows fans of the show to view the latest room reveals, catch up on the behind-the-scenes action and pick up DIY tips. Viewers can also order the paint colour combinations used by the contestants on the show.

Wattyl_TheBlockAllstars_microsite home page.jpgKomosion has been working for Valspar ANZ (which is part of the global US-based paint conglomerate Valspar Corporation), since August 2011 and was selected via a competitive tender process.

The agency was appointed to create and execute a plan to improve the company’s digital presence in the Australian marketplace through the redesign and redevelopment of core

websites, and the subsequent execution of a digital strategy. Komosion continues to implement ideas that enhance the Wattyl customer journey.

These new sites are the latest in a series of work completed by Komosion as part of a three-year strategy.

Says John O’Neill, managing director of Komosion: “We hope that our work with Valspar will make it easier, more convenient, more pleasurable for Australians to use digital tools and technologies to choose Wattyl paints and products.

“We are also excited about opportunities for Valspar to add more value to its relationship with Trade Painters, Architects and Specifiers. Watch as we colour in this space.”

Says Pattie Erps, national sales and marketing manager of Valspar ANZ: “We are very happy with the new Wattyl website and we are certain our customers will also be excited about the new tools that we have on offer. We are looking forward to working with Komosion and building on this success.”
