JohnB_PR.jpgSylviaM_PR.jpgAdelaide agency kwp! Advertising has announced the appointment of John Baker (far left) as sole managing director, with joint managing partner Sylvia Mason (near left) now moving into a consultancy role.

Mason will continue to work with key clients on strategic direction and campaign planning, however all day-to-day agency operations will now be run by Baker, alongside creative director James Rickard.

Baker says the new structure will streamline operations but the agency will continue to benefit from Mason’s specialist strategic skills.

Says Baker: “Sylvia has been with kwp! since its beginnings 22 years ago and has played a major role in the agency’s growth and success.

“Sylvia’s knowledge and expertise are invaluable to us and our clients so we are very pleased that she will be able to continue working alongside us.

“The new management structure means we will be able to act nimbly and decisively, and our clients and staff have expressed great confidence in the decision.”

Mason will continue to consult to key clients including Yalumba, Health Partners and People’s Choice Credit Union, as well as on projects and new business.

Baker and Mason were appointed as joint managing partners in 2008 by founding partners Pete Withy and Andrew Killey, who continue to work on strategy, creative and new business within kwp!.
