Daikin Australia brings back Dan… and Dan in new campaign via Sugar&Partners New Zealand

Daikin.jpgAfter winning the creative business back in March, Sugar&Partners New Zealand has created a new campaign to position Daikin Australia as the heat pump specialists.

Says Tania Stevenson, S&P brand strategist: “Daikin only make heat pumps, and they only sell through a specialist dealer network. There’s huge value in that.”

DAIKIN_DAN_MISREGISTRATION_RGB_V2.jpgThe integrated campaign gives Dan Carter purpose as a specialist in his own right, pairing him in an entertaining way with another Dan. A Daikin speciailist dealer.

Says Dave Smith, Daikin Australia: “Sugar&Partners has really hit the mark with this new campaign – we are all extremely pleased with the strategic approach and clever creative S&P has executed. We look forward to seeing some great results this winter.”

Says Dave Nash, S&P joint-ECD: “Daikin has an amazing story of innovation, you tell anyone and they are sold. It’s about giving the Daikin dealers that introduction into Kiwi households.”

Says Damon O’Leary, joint-ECD: “The ads set up The Daikin Home Advantage, an online tool to tell consumers “why Daikin”. It’s also an effective way to use digital to generate direct response.”

Digital production company Kontent, shot the ‘Dealer’ TVC on the new Blackmagic Cine camera made by the clever Aussies behind Da Vinci Resolve colour grading.

The Daikin spot involved getting Dan Black to act and director Simon Mark-Brown reckons it helped.

Says Mark-Brown: “The camera didn’t try taking photos of itself with Dan Carter, getting autographs, talking about league or being a nuisance at all, it just concentrated on taking great pictures. What more can you ask for?”
