Henry Tajer, executive chairman of IPG Mediabrands Australia, said the new structure at Ensemble reflected accelerating interest from clients in brand inspired content, sponsorships and experiential marketing. Clients that have supported Ensemble’s growth include KFC, ING Direct, Defence Force Recruiting, Jordans and Ryvita.

Ricketts has been managing director of the business since it was founded in Sydney in March 2010. Ensemble has since expanded from its Sydney base to also now have a growing office in Melbourne and a national staff of 25 people.

Says Tajer: “Justin has provided Ensemble and its clients with great leadership and entrepreneurial skills since he started the business with Tim Hodgson and it is a remarkable success story.”

Hodgson is currently general manager of Ensemble Sydney and was a founder of the business with Ricketts.

Says Tajer: “Tim has been at the heart of Ensemble’s growth and he is a great management partner for Justin. They are a highly effective management team with complementary skills.”

In addition to the promotions, Ensemble’s national strategy director Lauren Joyce will expand her portfolio and will now manage a team of three, concentrating on strategy development for clients in both offices. She will continue to be based in Melbourne.
