Tony Mansfield.jpgGrey Canberra is strengthening its creative and digital offerings with key hires. The agency welcomes on board creative veteran Dave Byrne as senior art director; experienced communications strategist, Bryce Logan, as digital and media strategist; and account director, Julia Unwin as a team lead to oversee client communications strategies and implementation, digital initiatives and to grow strategic partnerships.

Byrne is a seasoned and experienced creative whose 13-year career counts a diverse portfolio of clients. His strong concept development skills and understanding of cross-media platforms make him a valuable player in Grey’s creative team. He recently returned to Canberra, his home town after a five year stint in Canada..

Logan joins Grey from Universal McCann where his experience in all things digital benefited client brands such as the Australian Government, Microsoft, NineMSN (NineMSN, Hotmail, Messenger), AAPT, Lindt and Zuji Travel.

It’s a homecoming of sorts for Julia Unwin, who returns to Grey as account director from Whybin\TBWA, Melbourne where she led the Nissan account, the agency’s longest held and largest account. Most recently, she oversaw the award-winning digitally led launch campaign of Nissan’s new global brand, the Nissan LEAF, their new electric vehicle which picked up metals at One Show and Spikes Asia.

Prior to that, she was with Grey Melbourne where she worked across the agency’s three largest accounts – the Transport Accident Commission, Procter & Gamble and Simplot.

“These are exciting times for digital and therein lies enormous opportunities for us to innovate, lead and make a significant contribution. At Grey Canberra, we are moving towards a one agency model executing ideas through design, digital and strategic media, providing clients with modern, integrated solutions to their business challenges,” says Tony Mansfield (pictured), managing director of Grey Canberra.

“Our goal is to drive change and maintain strategic and creative leadership in the industry while embracing Grey’s national model and culture for Canberra. Bringing the best of the global network’s resources, knowledge and expertise to Canberra clients, we are focused on creating an ideas company that moves beyond just advertising – to one that creates world class ideas, platforms and multiple revenue streams for our clients,” added Mansfield.

Grey Australia welcomed Mansfield as its new general manager to head operations in Canberra last July from the head of strategy and account management role at Hulsbosch Design, Sydney.
