AQUILA_PR.jpgHybrid advertising agency The Vanguard launches its first campaign for iconic Australian brand Aquila since being appointed earlier this year.

The campaign titled ‘Live Free’ releases the AW/13 season by transforming the Aquila ‘eagle’ into a free spirited modern man.

Says Deryll Naidoo, co-founder & creative partner of The Vanguard: “As a consistent narrative, the notion of Freedom will direct all strategic activity and brand activation moving forward. It provides a conceptual platform for an intelligent multi-layered conversation with the Aquila customer. This campaign sees the beginning of a journey that will extend into multiple brand activations and partnerships across technology, telecommunications and airlines.”

The campaign extends across all media channels including online, in-store, social, mobile, print and brand activation. The ‘Live Free’ campaign was shot by fashion photographer Georges Antoni and art directed by David Roennfeldt, co-founder & creative partner of The Vanguard.

Says Luke Longo, director of Aquila: “Aquila is very excited to launch our new ‘Live Free’ campaign into market. We believe this new direction and strategy for our brand will help establish and define a strong pathway into the menswear market. It’s the next chapter in the life of the Aquila brand. The Vanguard have been superb in their thinking as they deliver the ‘Live Free’ campaign from an idea into a fully integrated campaign.”
