This year, there’s even more prize money at stake too with the winner set to take home $5,000 in cash to put towards developing their creative career.

To enter the Vodka O SchOlarship, entrants must make a 30,45 or 60 second film that follows the creative brief provided by Vodka O. The winning film will be screened throughout the 12 days of the Sydney Film Festival’ films, as well as on SFF TV played at Martin Place between 5 and 16 June.

To register your interest in the Vodka O SchOlarship and to receive the full creative brief, please visit the Vodka O Facebook page here.

Budding filmmakers and creative types are being given the opportunity to have their short film, on Vodka O, screened at the 2013 Sydney Film Festival along with being provided with Vodka O for a private bash with ten friends as part of the Vodka O SchOlarship initiative. In addition to the $5,000 SchlOarship, the winner will receive full creative credit and be invited to rub shoulders with industry types, celebrities and other guests at the Opening Night Celebration Party.

Says Tim Szonyi, ASM Liquor CEO: “From starting out in a Sydney garage, we  know how hard it is to break into an industry you’re so passionate about.

“We began building great tasting spirits from the ground up with sheer passion and determination. Sponsoring the Sydney Film Festival and providing the Vodka O SchOlarship allows us to lend a hand to all those like-minded, dedicated individuals who are wanting to kick-start their careers.”

The winner’s film will also receive an airing on Vodka O’s website and be heavily promoted on social media mediums including YouTube and on Vodka O’s Facebook page and have the opportunity to be involved in other creative projects with Vodka O throughout the year.

“The Vodka O SchOlarship opened many creative doors for last year’s winner Adam Marshal as he rubbed shoulders with the likes of Bruce Davey from Icon Productions on the red carpet at the 2012 opening night launch. We’re excited to be giving back to the Australian creatives while also supporting once again one of the longest running film festivals in the world.” says Szonyi.
