Video technology company Unruly, London has created a saucy series of experiental web films to promote the new Renault Clio.
In the spots unsuspecting drivers (two guys in one spot, two girls in another) get a sudden, unexpected dose of France when, prompted by the salesman, they push the “Va Va Voom” button on the dash.
The video was produced by Scorch London, as part of a campaign created by media shop Manning Gottlieb OMD.

1. Trawl internet.
2. Find stuff that’s really gone off: like TNT’s Push For Drama and the Abercrombie & Fitch topless guys.
3. Combine them into one appropriated idea.
“Experiential web films”????? Sorry, no. “Experiental” means it happens live, and only live. Once its online, its just anther video.
Nice try, but these are just web videos and no more.
Please let them stop….
Idea shamelessly stolen from TNT ‘s “A Dramatic Surprise On A Quiet Square”. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=316AzLYfAzw
What happens when you press the va-va-voom button?
A cataclysmic bunch of marketing wank that’s gayer than any London flashmob I’ve seen. British clients seriously don’t get integrated, they think it’s a Mary Poppins stunt of some pants explosion description.
Grrrrrrr.
Nice! But not sure it needed the guys and girls…. pourquoi pas!
Congratulations team. You’ve simultaneously set both marketing and feminism back ten years.
This has to be one of the first signs of the coming apocalypse.
Check your scripture and repent, the judgement day is coming.
after reading the comments i thought it couldn’t possibly be that bad
then i watched the video.
You guys should lighten up, this is fun and entertaining albeit in a plagiaristic and stereotypical way, and if it sells a couple of hundred more french cars to the poms than baseline sales then it’s bang on the money.
Sorry, am I the only one who noticed the views for these spots???
Or do all these ad wankers making childish comments think that their cool FMCG TVC’s that people go out of their way to switch off are totes amazeballs forms of advertising.
I see nothing original here, but I see a happy client due to tonnes of free PR (do a google search) and views. It won’t win any awards for originality, but it has done the job.
Your lame ads that 1 person from your agency writes a tweet about just aren’t cutting it. Round of applause to the creative team and client for doing something fun that has worked.
This will probably win awards.
Have a cry.
Do a google search yourself, mate. Or just click here

And never make likes or views your KPIs
horrid in so many ways.
