Aussie expats Nick Morrissey and Tim Green launch ‘Forever is Big’ NBA Finals television campaign via Goodby, Silverstein & Partners
Aussie expats and ex-The Monkeys’ Nick Morrissey and Tim Green have closed out the NBA 2012-2013 season with a new campaign ‘Forever is Big’ via Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. The spots were directed by Christopher Riggert out of Biscuit, and shot by another fellow Aussie, Tim Hudson.
The campaign takes historic Finals moments and suspends them in time as a symbol of the way they remain in our collective consciousness forever. In each spot we arrive back at the arena many years later to find the player still there.
Morrissey was one of the founding employees of Three Drunk Monkeys, and left the MonkeyTowers in June of 2010 with his sights set on the US. In October of 2010, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners hired Morrissey in the role of copywriter.
Green has worked as an art director since 2001 starting out at Y&R Sydney, then moving on to Publicis Mojo, DDB, and The Monkeys Sydney.

What a lovely homage to Nike Write the Future…
it’s not a homage, its a direct rip off…. isn’t it?
Awesome. Watching the NBA, I loved that ad straight up.
Dirk didn’t even make the playoffs. Kobe ruptured his achilles the week prior and the lakers got swept in the first round. Unfortunate timing is big.
But still – awesome spots.
I think the point is that those moments will last forever in NBA lore – not that those would be this year’s champs. I like ’em, but then I’m an NBA fan.
Prediction: Pacers vs Spurs 2013 final
Does the B stand for balls?
