Grey Melbourne wins Branded Content FAB Award + FABulous Award across online/digital/interactive, Showpony wins Press FAB Award
International Food and Beverage Creative Excellence Awards announced the winners of 15th FAB Awards including Aussie winners Grey Melbourne who walked away with the prestigious FABulous Award across online/digital/interactive as well as the Branded Content FAB award for its campaign for Cloud 9 and Showpony Advertising Australia who won the Press FAB Award for its campaign for its Sea and Vines Festival campaign.
The ceremony for the 15th edition of the Awards was held last night at the quintessentially British The Hurlingham Club in London.
Says Parris Mesidis, Showpony’s creative director: “An international award win is always nice boost for the creative ego but one of the things that tends to get overlooked is that it has real benefits for the client, too.
“As a result of this latest win the McLaren Vale brand has been exposed to a significant international audience through industry channels and blogs.”
This is a second international win for the agency in recent months, with Showpony having also been recognized by the US-based Mobius awards for creative excellence earlier this year.
Continues Mesidis: “We’ve had a sweet run as far as international awards shows go. Success at that level, against the biggest and best creative agencies in the world, is the ultimate gauge for measuring your work and I’m proud to say that we can mix it with the best of them.”
The Awards evening was attended by several clients ranging from McDonald’s, Doritos, Heineken, Baccardi and Agencies and Design Consultancies from the UK, Australia, Brazil, Canada, USA, Sweden, Italy, Germany amongst others.

Says FAB Awards president, Neeraj Nayar: “The FAB Awards were setup to recognise creative excellence across the Food and Beverage industry, which as we know is a very competitive and tough field. This year we had around 3600 entries from over 60 countries and the judges have been very strict in judging them. All the winners put forward outstanding projects and fully deserve the Award. I would like to thank the jury, who tirelessly judged every single entry. Finally I would like to thank WCRS for the lovely ‘FAB Food Fight’ campaign (http://www.fabawards.com/fab-food-fight-ad-campaign) to promote the Awards.”

I do like this thing. Lots of effort and the pictures look great.
Nice dea to freeze stuff up here. Good work G, PopUp and W.O.R.
How the fudge did they sell that? Pretty whak.
Nice idea to launch a product that you shouldn’t really give two shoots about.
They’re going alright that mob at Grey.
If you count being weeks away from losing TAC as “going alright’ then sure…..
This would have been really beautiful as data. Balloons rising and showing the falling temperature, gps info, but as a film.
Just because you do something ‘for real’ doesnt mean you can just strap on a go pro and have it look good.
To me its kind of gross to see the product leaking out and then falling and hitting the ground. Neat idea, not sure about execution.
Am I missing something here? It’s frozen yogurt, that they froze again? Or did they melt the frozen yogurt and then re-freeze it in the clouds?
