The appointment of Stock (above right) and opening of Spinifex Group Melbourne is a result of growing demand for the company’s cutting edge digital creative programs and campaigns in Australia and overseas. It also reunites Stock with his former creative partner at Boffswanna, Stephen Van Elst (above left), who joined Spinifex Group late last year as ECD for North America and is based in LA.

According to Spinifex COO, Dan Hastings, the team expansion and new office opening comes as the company grows through a strong program of campaigns in markets across Australia, Asia, the Middle East and North America.

“We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Robert to build our Melbourne team and strengthen our capabilities. We look forward to working with him to expand, grow and develop the Spinifex Group name here and overseas,” Hastings said.

Stock will be positioned to integrate his previous creative technology expertise with Spinifex’s broader production solutions to create innovative branded and cultural content and experiences.

“Spinifex is a natural progression for me after Boffswanna as I will be able to take the skills Stephen and I developed to a wider international audience, as part of a company  with global reach, and with a team that has a strong vision for the future of digital creative.  I’m very excited to be part of a team with such a remarkable body of work underway,” Stock said.

In addition to a strong pipeline of client projections and executions planned for 2013 and 2014, Spinifex Group will also play a key role at the centrepiece of this year’s VIVID Sydney festival. The company will deliver the technical execution and digital creative motion-graphics to be projected on the Opera House sails throughout the festival.
