plazadavewood.jpgCB Exclusive: Plaza is delighted to announce that comedy director Dave Wood has joined its roster.

Wood began his career in Perth, where he quickly made a name for himself as a young director to watch with his work for Marketforce, The Brand Agency and 303Lowe. He moved to London to seek his fortune, where his spot for Battersea Dogs Home was picked up by Shots and set him on his path there. He’s now returned to Australia and since then his work has been featured at AWARD, the New York Art Directors Club, and back home at the PADC’s and Campaign Brief awards for Best TV and Best Campaign.

Enjoy his work here.

Says Peter Masterton, Plaza EP: “Dave’s work has that unique, observed, individual touch and humour that really stands out. We have been following his work in London and since he came back here and it’s just getting stronger and stronger. He’s going to go all the way and we’re just thrilled to have him with us.”

Says Wood: “I’ve always been a huge fan of Paul’s work so this is pretty great to be working under the same roof. I really love what I do, for a while I was tempted to give it all up and become a handsome billionaire but there is so much I want to achieve and so many people I want to work with that is just not an option right now.”
