image011.jpgGlobal point-of-purchase design and manufacturing company, Creative Instore Solutions (CIS) have signed an exclusive partnership with Tapit, world leaders in delivering branded content to consumers via Near Field Communications (NFC). The deal will see CIS exclusively distribute Tapit technology through point-of-purchase systems to the FMCG, convenience and other retail sectors globally.

The partnership, signed at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France, was forged to bring together CIS’ strength in the point-of-purchase industry and Tapit’s technology that enables brands to engage with customers in-store, via mobile phones enabled with NFC technology. The integration of the technology will allow customers to tap their phones on Tapit symbols integrated within point-of-purchase units to receive selected branded content.

Says Andrew Davis, chief operating officer at Tapit: “The partnership with CIS is an important one for us as it will extend our presence in the FMCG retail and convenience sectors. As people are increasingly time poor while in-store, Tapit technology enables brands to interact and engage with their customers in the fastest way possible, enabling multiple messaging updateable remotely, all with detailed analytics. We’re really looking forward to growing our partnership with CIS.”

Says Deane Hubball, global CEO of CIS: “For CIS, designing and developing instore activation units for brands and their customers has always been all about the customer experience. As shoppers demand a more digital purchasing experience, we wanted to partner with a company at the forefront of customer engagement by providing brands with real time feedback on in-store engagement. Tapit’s use of NFC technology represents the next wave of the in-store experience and we look forward to enabling it to millions of people through new or existing units.”
