The Brand Union & Lambie-Nairn launch Cannes Also 2013: curious minds create brilliant brands

The CannesAlso concept is the brainchild of leading branding agencies, The Brand Union and Lambie-Nairn and forms part of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Now in its third year, the CannesAlso initiative was created to celebrate the wider role of creativity.

Whether a practiced phillumenist or novice collector, delegates can explore the art of collecting at this unique event. Many have already taken part by submitting photos of their personal collections. Those that haven’t already can get involved over the week by contributing to the event’s collection of doodles or adding to one of their many digital collections, which will be streamed live at the event.

Says Christian Schroeder, CEO of branding and design agency Lambie-Nairn: “Having looked at inspiration and imagination as two core pillars of creativity over the past couple of years, we felt that curiosity, as a key driver of creativity, would be a great focus for this year.  Yet again the teams at Lambie-Nairn and The Brand Union have worked together seamlessly to create an intriguing and engaging experience.”  

Says Simon Bolton, Worldwide CEO of The Brand Union: “We wanted to work with the Cannes Lions team to acknowledge the importance of design outside the working environment, amongst the wider creative community whilst ensuring that we offer the delegates at the festival some too.”
