Halfords1.jpgUK retailing group Halfords has just launched a new commercial which celebrates the surge in popularity of cycling following last year’s Olympics, directed by The Glue Society’s Gary Freedman.

Timed to coincide with this year’s Tour de France, the campaign is the first to be created by Mother, London since winning the account.

Halfords2.jpgThe 90 second film shows all of Britain’s cycling tribes, including MAMILs (middle-aged men in lycra), professional cyclists, commuters, hipsters, yummy mummies and ultimately a peloton of screaming children, all racing each other for the ultimate British summer prize.

The spot was directed by The Glue Society’s Gary Freedman, and produced by UK production company, Independent.

In Australia, The Glue Society are represented by Revolver for film projects and Will O’Rourke for non-traditional creative productions.
