Frank bakehouse studios.jpgCB Exclusive: Senior creative Frank Trobbiani is hitting the road after six and a half years with Marmalade.

Most recently he has been responsible for three major integrated campaigns for Beyondblue.  ‘I Am Anxiety‘ featuring Ben Meldelsohn. ‘Man Therapy’ which was featured on The Project and was retweeted by Kevin Rudd, Wil Anderson and Michal Clarke. And the highly shared ‘Left Hand’ campaign, created to shift young males attitudes toward Gay, Lesbians and Bis. ‘Left hand’ achieved huge uptake on blogs and made the front page of international site Reddit and 4Chan while also being recognised at The One Show.

While at Marmalade he played a significant role on other awarded work for Metlink, Heinz, Bosch Power Tools, Vicroads and the recent Cannes finalist for Melbourne Water.

Says Trobbiani: “After freelancing for Marmalade for almost five years, which must be some kind of weird adland record, I took a permanent position there to work with creative director John Akritidis. To say the least, working with John has been endless fun and I’m very happy with our achievements on some really worthwhile projects. I’ll really miss John and the team.

Asked if his decision has anything to do with his band MAMMOTH MAMMOTH’s upcoming European tour with fellow creatives, Ben Couzens/Clems and Mikey Tucker/CHE, Trobbiani responded: “Not at all. That’s been on the cards with our record label for a year. If anything, I might have a little more time to get some rehearsal in and finally tune my kit!

“What I’ve always loved about the ad industry is that it’s cool to play in different creative sand pits. I think it’s healthy, I think it compliments what we do  – and I think we’re all very fortunate to be able to do that.

“Now, just feels like the right time to sink my teeth into some new opportunities and experiences that are happening out there.”
