00E97F1F-7133-4245-BCF5-FED4CB21AC3A.jpgFounder of Australia’s only meerkat comparison website comparethemeerkat.com.au, Aleksandr Orlov, has used his dedicated Facebook page with over 65,000 fans to help determine which Australian meerkats should be added to his online world-class meerkat database via VCCP Australia.

This recent activity from comparethemeerkat.com.au is an extension of the unique creative advertising campaign specially designed to increase awareness for comparison website comparethemarket.com.au. The public put forward their suggestions, and decided that Footykat and Bushkat were their favourites; the iconic South Australian Barossa Valley was also chosen to as a new location to compare.

Some of the new crowd-sourced Australian meerkats have also appeared on screen in the latest advert from comparethemeerkat.com.au, which features Aleksandr’s meerkat side-kick and CTM0033_Sergei Monitor BUSHKAT sm.jpghead of IT Sergei.

Says Orlov: “Is dream of mine to feature Australian meerkats on my meerkat comparison site, comparethemeerkat.com.au. I have now make expansion of meerkat database to never seen before levels of distinction.  Many friends of my face on the Facebooks make excellent suggestion and after extensive search I found five new Auskats for comparison. My head of IT, Sergei, has been very busy inputting their profiles into system. Simples!”

Says George Meligonis, managing director of comparethemarket.com.au: “It’s been great to get input from Aleksandr Orlov’s Facebook fans by allowing them to decide which new Australian meerkats they wanted to appear on comparethemeerkat.com.au. Those who took part may have also spotted their meerkat suggestions incorporated into our latest advert. We plan to continue to use crowd-sourcing in the future as a tool to help fans connect with the brand and be a part of our decision making process for this creative campaign.”

Aleksandr and his meekrat side-kick Sergei are currently working on an up and coming new Australian i-Simples App, which will be available to download on iTunes. It will feature all of these new Auskats as bonus content for iPhone 5 users.
