Jungleboys signs comedy animation director Doug Bayne for commercial representation
Jungleboys has announced that animation director Doug Bayne (left) has joined its director roster.
Bayne spends his life in animation, visual effects and other dishonest pastimes. He regularly collaborates with The Chaser, Andrew Denton, Lawrence Leung, Roy and HG, Good Game and Catalyst – the science show. It turns out that if you want to talk seriously about science, you need lots of animation.
Bayne’s most recent work includes the very inappropriate breakers in Jungleboys’ six part comedy series for ABC1, The Elegant Gentleman’s Guide to Knife Fighting.
Bayne is making the move into into directing TV commercials this year.
Says Alex Hay, Jungleboys’ executive producer: “If you want a director who wears shoes, Doug is not your guy. He is an absolute genius who brings something very unique to everything he touches, he’s just not a fan of footwear.”
