Massive turn out for The Feds director Ben Lawrence’s new exhibition, Redfern; I Love You

_MG_0367.jpgLast night (Tuesday, July 16) over 250 industry folk and local residents gathered in Redfern to celebrate the opening of Ben Lawrence’s latest photographic exhibition Redfern; I Love You.

The portrait exhibition is a love letter to a suburb in transition. Over a period of 12 months Lawrence approached passers-by on the street in Redfern and convinced them to have their portrait taken. The portraits were taken through a custom-built one-way mirror in The Feds shop-front studio, resulting in a moving selection of unique introspective images.

Redfern, I Love you is at the Damien Minton Gallery, Redfern, 583 Elizabeth Street, 12-6pm until _MG_0241.jpgSaturday 20th July.
