Mount_Pleasant_Old_Hill_vineyard.jpgMcWilliam’s Wines has rolled out a new web and mobile site for Mount Pleasant, the first work created by independent Australian agency WiTH Collective since it was appointed late last year to lead digital strategy and execution for the winemaker.

Mountpleasantwines.com.au is one of the first winery websites in Australia to use responsive design so the site works on any platform, optimising for mobile, tablet or desktop depending on the device used. This means fans of Mount Pleasant can easily access information about the historic wine label whether they’re at home, the bottle shop, or touring the vineyards.

Mount_Pleasant_Lovedale_vineyard.jpgThe site offers a comprehensive overview of the flagship Mount Pleasant Estate, showcasing the range of wines, tasting notes, biographies of the winemakers, history of the winery and vineyards as well as general information on visiting the cellar door in the Hunter Valley. There’s also a social media wall and blog curated by winery staff and a wine club and online cellar door offering exclusive wines and mixed packs to members.

One of Australia’s most treasured wineries, Mount Pleasant is the home of vineyards first planted in 1880, and carries on the legacy of founder Maurice O’Shea, one of Australia’s greatest winemakers. The digital platform needed to reflect this heritage while presenting a strong sense of the Hunter Valley region the label calls home.

Says Chris Maloney, McWilliam’s Wines digital marketing director: “Mount Pleasant is the custodian of unique Hunter Valley legacies, vineyards and wine styles. This new platform brings the brand to life digitally, and empowers fans to explore and share the rich stories behind the wines.”

Over the next six months WiTH Collective will also develop websites for other flagship brands in the McWilliam’s Wines portfolio including Evans & Tate, Brand’s Laira and McWilliam’s.
