Winning Outstanding Achievement in Advertising for their work with The Producers, the award was judged on design, functionality and creativity and represents only the start of what’s to come for co-owners Catherine Gray (right) and Niall Heffernan (left).

Says Heffernan: “We’re thrilled to be acknowledged within the industry at such an early stage of our business. This personally means a lot, and confirms that we’re on the right track with our vision.”

Gray and Hefferman met as employees in a large digital agency. Servicing a list of high profile clientele, the pair bonded over their mutual belief in the power of small business.

Says Gray: “We noticed that the small guys couldn’t afford the kind of work we were doing, but they probably needed the most help. Our vision was to take the big agency smarts and bring them to the SME level.”

And thus Studio None was created.

Says Gray: “Many businesses have that one brilliantly-crazy idea inside them but may lack the digital resources to bring that to life. We’re passionate about providing that high level of service at a price that’s affordable to smaller businesses. In business today everyone deserves the opportunity to have access to high quality and digitally creative. If it involves pixels it should involve us.

“So far we’ve worked with some really innovative businesses and have also been fortunate to partner with the Brisbane Writers’ Festival by designing and providing their digital content. To know that our work is being received on such a large platform is very exciting.”
