As the teacher for the class ‘Pop Culture Engineering’, Behrendt will guide students through the creation of a brand content advertising program for online distribution.

From concepting to measuring impact, students will develop video content and explore different methods of brand integration. Behrendt graduated from Miami Ad School Europe in 2005, and since graduating has won over 160 awards.

His list of accolades include being named one of AdWeek’s World-Wide Top 10 Creative Minds in Digital 2011; winner of the 2012 executive MBA scholarship from the Berlin School of Creative Leadership, winner of the ‘Cyber Grand Prix’ in 2011 (PayWithaTweet) and the ‘Titanium Grand Prix’ in 2010 (Best Buy’s ‘Twelpforce’) at the Advertising Festival in Cannes and winner of the 2012 MTV OMusic Award for “Most Extreme Fan Outreach” for the band Riot !n Paris ‘Track Me.’

Says Behrendt: “I’m delighted to be part of the Miami Ad School Sydney team. Nurturing new talent is vital for the future of our industry. Miami Ad School students globally win more awards than graduates at any other top advertising schools  – the Clios, One Show, Andy’s, and many more – because they are exposed to the latest in global pop culture.”
