TIM ROGERS RENEGADE0061.jpgRenegade Films latest production STUDIO at the MEMO featuring host Tim Rogers (left) and his rowdy troupe of performers taking to the stage for the brand new performance series on Foxtel’s arts channel, Studio 132, tonight at 8:30pm EST.

Recruiting a dream team of Australia’s A-list performers and some of the world’s most daring acts, this series joyfully hopscotches through burlesque, cabaret, circus, music and more over six extravagant episodes.

The guide through this musical circus is Tim Rogers. Iconic solo artist and show-stealing frontman for the award-winning Australian band You Am I. Tim’s obvious talents as lyricist, raconteur and boulevardier have been harnessed by Renegade to create Australia’s newest and bravest variety show host.

He is joined onstage each episode by The Studio Syndicate, lead by musical director Lance Ferguson, the man behind The Bamboos, for an introductory song to kickstart the night. All recorded live.

Over the course of the series you will see performances from musical legends including Tex Perkins of The Cruel Sea, Paul Capsis, Martha Wainwright, Don Walker, Baby et Lulu, Circus Oz, Ruby Rubberlegs, Bernard Fanning, VulgarGrad, Imogen Kelly the Queen of Burlesque and blues crooner Mojo Juju.

STUDIO at the MEMO is directed by Ken Connor.

This culminates over 21 hours of televison production delivered to networks from Renegade since February.

New episodes of Renegade’s music stalwart, RocKwiz, (series eleven) are going to air on SBS at 8.30 on Saturday nights.
