Gallion was most recently at eBay’s PayPal division, where he was the technical leader and architect for the systems and software that power the world’s leading online payments company on the web.

Says Paul Bennett, national managing director at SapientNitro: “This is a consequential appointment for SapientNitro Australia, having someone the calibre of Travis as the head of technology gives our clients first-hand access to superior technical vision.

“We now have further proof that we can deliver the connected thinking that brings our clients closer to their customers. In particular, his experience as an architect of ecommerce platforms for a range of major brands is very impressive.”

Gallion has been a senior architect on ecommerce and web projects for a list of leading international brands and organisations, including Louis Vuitton (LVMH), eLuxury.com, Sephora, American Airlines, BestBuy.com, Sega, Walgreens pharmacy and E*TRADE.

With a background in commercial software development, Gallion is now leading the SapientNitro technology team to drive innovation in personalisation, internationalisation and localisation, plus advances in mobile and systems integration.

Says Bennett: “Travis knows how to design solid platforms that will ensure the client’s business outcomes succeed now and into the future. His presence on our team will add confidence to the big decisions that leaders are being forced to make to transform their businesses for the digital age.”

Gallion will work across the three SapientNitro locations in Australia.
