warehouse82734.jpgThe job of a lifetime can beckon at any age and The Warehouse is calling out to Kiwi kids to join their team with a new campaign via DDB New Zealand, that’s sure to spark playground conversation.

The new campaign, to recruit four junior Toy Testers to join The Warehouse team, is designed to amplify the magic around the retailer’s Great Annual Toy Sale. The campaign begins with TVCs, where children are interviewed for the positions and asked them to explain why they are an appropriate candidate.

Says Julie Garlick, general manager of marketing for The Warehouse: “This campaign has been an exciting project for The Warehouse team and we’re really proud of it. We switched our focus from a traditional product offering to channelling the behaviour of our youngest fans.

“Working with these kids was great fun and we see potential for future additions within the campaign.”

The advertising campaign, created by DDB and The Warehouse Limited, centres around four real Toy Tester positions, a recruitment drive, a 10-day toy sale countdown with product offers, online activity and both a 30″ and 60″ TVC which started running on 9 July. The campaign will wrap up with an official announcement appointing The Warehouse’s newest employees on 19 August.

To be eligible for the new positions, toy fans need to spend $30 on toys at The Warehouse. Four winners will receive up to $200 of toys from The Warehouse each month for a year plus a family trip to Disneyland, with each trip valued at $15,000.
