Whybin\TBWA Group Melbourne MD Mark Watkin set to depart agency after two years in the role
Mark Watkin (left), managing director of Whybin\TBWA Group Melbourne has announced he is leaving the agency. Watkin has been in the role for two years joining from George Patterson Y&R Melbourne after a seven-year stint.
Says Scott Whybin: “Mark came in at a time when significant growth occurred in Melbourne. He was a part of that and I will always be thankful for his contribution. But he has some firm thoughts on where he wants his life to go and we respect that and we wish him all the best.”
Says Watkin: “It’s been an amazing 2 year journey with Whybin’s, it’s growth has been extraordinary and it’s been a privilege to have been part of it and work with such great people. I want to take some time to think about what I do next, but above all spending some time with my family is a priority.”
Watkin will leave the agency later this month.

That is a real loss for Whybin. Good luck Watto – will be interested in what you do next. You’ll be great whatever.
Good one Watto. You are a gentleman. Now kiss my plums.
Probably one of the most genuine, nicest people you’ll meet in advertising. Best of luck Mark!
I think it’s because he wants more time to watch Le Tour.
Mark Watkin, you’re an absolute champion. Any agency you work for is blessed to have you. Equally, any agency you work for will be sad to see you go. Best of luck.
Hell, no one saw that coming! Good luck Watto you’ll be snapped up.
It was coming from the day he moved in.
Watto good luck, but you don’t need it – whybin’s loss is someone else’s huge gain.
