The big winner of the night was Clemenger BBDO’s Fantastic Delites “Delite-o-matic” campaign, which won awards across numerous categories including digital, out-of-home and activation. In doing so, this campaign became the most awarded ever in the history of the AADC Awards.

The AADC only awards finalist awards and trophies. There are no gold, silver and bronze.

There were 49 Awards given out in total, with Clemenger BBDO Adelaide winning 13 of these. In addition, there were two ‘chairs’ awarded – which are given out at the discretion of the judges for work that achieves the highest standards of excellence. Clemenger BBDO Adelaide won both of those chairs.

lifeafterdark.jpgKWP!’s haul exceeded the previous year’s very successful tally and consisted of 6 trophies and 17 finalist awards including its ‘Life After Dark‘ campaign for Coopers Dark Ale. In the craft section, work from KWP! also picked up 4 trophies and 6 finalist awards.

Says James Rickard, KWP! creative director: “Each year our aim is to dominate the wall, anything beyond that is a bonus. What was so pleasing was the breadth of disciplines in which we won and the number of clients we won for.”

Those clients included RAA, Bottlemart, South Australian Tourism Commission, Coopers Brewery, Ultra Tune, Samuel Smith & Sons and Brand SA.

THE AADC Awards has a total of just 9 major categories and KWP! had work recognised in 8 of them – moving pictures, out of home, print, radio, press, activation, big idea and digital.

To cap off the night, Clemenger BBDO Adelaide Chairman Kim Boehm was awarded the AADC’s prestigious Watering Can award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Adelaide advertising industry.

Says Bryce Coombe, managing director, Clemenger BBDO Adelaide: “This is a fantastic result for our agency and reflects our shift in focus from traditional advertising to digital led advertising campaigns that seek to involve and engage consumers at a much deeper level. What’s more, the award wins help further cement our position as South Australia’s most creative agency.”
