847_WIN_01.jpgEngine’s film “8:47” (www.847film.com) has won the 2013 Jury’s Honourable Mention Award at the Hollyshorts Film Festival in Hollywood.

Over 300 films were screened throughout the ten days at this prestigious festival where more than 7000 audience members attended.

Says Nik Kacevski, Writer & Director of “8:47”: “It was an incredible honour to be receiving an award at The Roosevelt Hotel, in the same ballroom that hosted the first Academy Awards in 1929. We make films to affect an audience; screening our film in front of a full house is rewarding in itself but receiving an honourable mention for our work is an extremely special feeling.”

847_WIN_02.jpgThe team behind the film attended the festival along with the whole cast, making a strong presence at the historic Chinese Theatre and mixing with the other local and international filmmakers.

“As a company, we are very proud of this achievement and everyone involved in making it possible. We strongly feel this is just the beginning,” says 847_WIN_03.jpgManaging Director, Calvin Gardiner ACS.
