MFA13_TileTICKETS_415x415px_4.jpgThe Media Federation Awards have selected six finalists out of anther record number of entries for a chance to win the ngen category award in this year’s awards program.

As the social partner for ngen, UN LTD aligned the ngen category to one of their charities – Youth Off The Streets. Entrants were asked to respond to a brief for YOTS, a nondenominational community organisation working for young people who are facing challenges of homelessness, drug and alcohol dependency, exclusion from school, neglect and abuse.

Youth Off The Streets supports these young people as they work to turn their lives around. The value of this association extends beyond the cash contribution (100% of all ngen entry fees into this category go to YOTS). It also creates the opportunity to raise awareness within the industry of challenges faced by the 47,000 homeless youths each night and importantly provides innovative and inspiring ideas that can activate 1,000+ high school students to register for the 2014 Sleepout event in NSW.

Says Carol Morris, UN LTD general manager: “UN LTD is about harnessing the talent within the industry to help us support charities that tackle youth disadvantage. This opportunity of engaging the ngen community is therefore very powerful and valuable connection, particularly when you are exposed to such a high quality of entries that offered a real depth of thinking as we have seen with this years entries.”

The ngen category finalists are:

• Danielle Hudson & Maryanne O’Sullivan, Ignite Media Brands, #sleepoutforchange
