Medibank 24/7 Health Advice launches ‘Talk to an Expert Week’ via Eleven PR + Whybins Melbourne

TALK.jpgMedibank 24/7 Health Advice has launched ‘Talk to an Expert Week’ (26th – 31st August) with an integrated PR, social and experiential campaign, to highlight the alarming tendency for Australians to seek health advice from the nearest possible places; the Internet, family and even social media via Eleven PR and Whybin\TBWA Melbourne.

Medibank.jpgThe campaign commissioned research to analyse the health habits of Australia.  It includes a video, narrated by Mia Freedman and housed on the Facebook app www.talktoanexpert.com.au, which helps raise awareness that 1 in 5 Australians have misdiagnosed themselves by not getting proper health advice.

The campaign called on the expertise of Dr Cindy Pan, medical practitioner, best-selling author and media personality who said: “Talk To An Expert Week’ is about raising awareness of these issues and encouraging anyone who’s feeling unwell or worried about a physical issue to see their GP or call the Medibank 24/7 Health Advice Line.”

Says Rob Lowe, PR director at Eleven PR: “By working as one team with Whybin/TBWA Melbourne, we’ve been able to create a naturally newsworthy campaign that works across multiple platforms.”

Experiential activity is also taking place in the form of a three-meter, Medibank branded London phone box.

The ‘Talk To An Expert Week’ campaign is part of a larger year long PR strategy to position and raise awareness of the Medibank 24/7 Health Advice Line.

Medibank members with hospital cover have access to registered Medibank nurses on the 24/7 Health Advice Line. Medibank nurses can help you decide how to manage symptoms and complement the care given by GPs and other health professionals so consumers can trust they’ll deliver sound advice, and answer any health question.
