image003.jpgAustralian food fans can now enjoy a quick and easy way to find new restaurants and make reservations through Mi9’s latest venture – dinemsn – a comprehensive online restaurant booking guide and community which launched yesterday.

This new site brings a fresh face to its predecessor – YourRestaurants – with a host of new social tools, featured deals and live table availability to help consumers get the best possible dining experience for every occasion.

An extension of Australia’s number one news and entertainment network ninemsn, dinemsn offers advertisers unrivalled exposure to an engaged and loyal audience who are passionate about food. Users can browse over 12,000 venues, then refine their choices based on location and cuisine, as well as comparing over 250,000 verified ‘real diner’ reviews from the site’s community of 130,000 monthly unique users.

New social links have also been integrated into dinemsn, making it easier than ever to find, book, share and ‘like’ dining destinations. By connecting a Facebook profile to a dinemsn account, consumers can make bookings through the social network, see where their friends have eaten and the reviews they’ve posted.

Says David Ash, CEO HWW at Mi9: “Featuring rich, informative content paired with state of the art technology, dinemsn serves up the smoothest bookings process, with added social media integration, that Australia has to offer. More than just a dining guide – dinemsn marries a decade of experience with a knack for spotting dining trends across the country. By honing in on this insight, advertisers can provide users with the best deals, the most relevant reviews and an unparalleled experience.”

Powered by Dimmi, Australian online real-time restaurant bookings platform, dinemsn users who book and share their experiences with the rest of the community will earn Dimmi Reward points that can be put towards a free meal next time they dine.

Says Stevan Premutico, CEO of Dimmi: “When we started Dimmi, it was our grand plan to make it easier for Australians to search, discover and book restaurants.  Partnering with Mi9’s HWW to establish dinemsn will allow more Australians to instantly reserve a table at Australia’s hottest restaurants.”

Says Ash: “We all know Australia has a big appetite for great food and dining out – especially for visiting new restaurants and experimenting with different types of cuisine. dinemsn is feeding this hunger by allowing foodies to tap into a huge database of user generated content and to essentially ‘try before they buy’ so there should be no surprises at the dinner table.”
