MOP Projects signs Yanni Pounartzis for next exhibition held Thurs Aug 22 6pm-8pm in Sydney

After a successful first solo exhibition in Nov 2012, MOP Projects will be featuring Yanni Pounartzis’ next body of work titled ‘Disorient’ on Thursday, August 22 from 6pm-8pm at 2/39 Abercrombie St, Chippendale, Sydney.

MOP is one of Sydney’s most highly regarded artist-run initiatives. In the past ten years it has become a significant space for contemporary art and consistently draws the attention of art insiders.

It has provided a platform for some of the most interesting emerging Australian artists. Many of these artists have gone onto to critical acclaim and a few to art stardom, gaining representation with elite galleries and commercial success including: Heath Franco, Gemma Smith and Mitch Cairns.

Pounartzis’ work was also featured in Artscape A-Z of Contemporary of Art on ABC in April of this year.
