Starcom Adelaide MD Anne Rodgers to step down

0fe315b.jpgStarcom MediaVest Group has announced the impending departure of its Adelaide managing director, Anne Rodgers (left).

 

Rodgers steps away from a 28-year long career in media and marketing, which began at Y&R.

 

Says Chris Nolan, Starcom CEO: “Anne has been a fantastic friend, colleague and leader of our Adelaide operation. She has been an inspirational leader for our business and she has been an influential and active contributor to the industry in Adelaide over the past 15 years.  We wish her great success as she moves into the next stage of her career.”

Highlights of Rodgers’ career with Starcom include winning the South Australia Government brand three times, retaining the SA Government Functional contract since 1999 – which will be 16 years by the end of the current contract in 2015, as well as growing the business from scratch to include clients such as Elders Rural Services,Harris Scarfe, Bridgestone, The Advertiser and Community CPS Australia.

 

Rodgers will continue to work with Starcom over the coming months to develop new leadership and help position Starcom for continued growth in Adelaide.

 

Says Rodgers: “Over 28 years in this business I have enjoyed the people, relationships and life-long friends I have made.

“I have enjoyed developing staff and watching them grow into executive positions within Starcom, the media and with clients. I’ve had the opportunity to work on major national clients across all categories and be part of one of the world’s biggest agency networks.”

 

Rodgers has been a key leader in the local media industry including roles such as mentor for University of SA Business School, Marketing Week Committee member, lecturer for AFA and a member of the University of Adelaide Media Advisory Board.

 

Says Rodgers: “I am leaving to pursue a business venture in which I will use my management experience and business network to develop a corporate well-being program. I have been able to realise my full potential in this job and now it’s time for me to help others do the same.”
