Naylor joined TLE in 2010 having worked in the research industry for the past 20 years across the UK, USA and Australia. Previous leadership roles include two years at The Nielsen Company as executive director, Consumer Research Australia, and seven years as a research director at Research International. He started his research career in his native UK at Whitbread PLC.

As part of the restructure Chrissy Blackburn (centre), global head of strategy, will have an expanded role, taking on responsibility for the qualitative research team and innovation leadership for TLE Sydney as well as her existing global role.

In other moves strategy director Alex Siewert joins the Sydney leadership team, which also includes John Crowley, head of client business, Paul Sinkinson, head of quantitative analytics, and Neil Sangster, global head of shopper.

The changes come as TLE builds bench strength in the team based upon its successes with key clients in research and strategy including Telstra, Luxottica, David Jones, Schweppes and Carnival Cruises.

Says Andy Bateman (left), global CEO of TLE: “Lee’s been instrumental in us becoming the business that we are today. He’s helped to reshape IP and our disciplines across the board particularly in the areas of quantitative and data sciences. Lee’s promotion, combined with an expanded role for Chrissy, will drive TLE’s future growth in this market.”

Says Naylor: “I’m looking forward to building upon the excellent work over the past few years in helping to solve some of the most exciting challenges our clients face. Our integration of great research and strategy means that TLE is well set for the future.”

Bateman also paid tribute to the contribution made by Riches.

Says Bateman: “It’s been a real pleasure working with Tim. He has played a valuable role in the realisation of our overall positioning as a research and strategy business and we wish him well as he takes up a new role in the design sector.”
