YoungMarketer.jpgADMA and Telstra have announced the names of the finalists of their 2013 Young Creative and Young Marketer of the Year competitions.

The finalists were announced at a celebration held last night at Sydney’s YoungCreative.jpgMerivale CBD Hotel organised by ADMA and Telstra, which sponsors the annual competition for marketers, advertisers and creatives aged 30 and under.

The ADMA State Committee Branches judged the Young Marketer of the Year entries while the Young Creative entries were judged by six of Australia’s top agency creatives.

Says Jodie Sangster, ADMA CEO: “This competition is designed to develop and inspire young marketers and creatives around the country and give them the opportunity to showcase their talents on a national scale. We have incredible young marketing and advertising talent in Australia and need to ensure they are recognised and rewarded meaningfully.”

Says Nicholas Adams, director of CRM, loyalty and digital marketing, Telstra: “There is an amazing depth of emerging talent in the Australian marketing and advertising industry and there is immense benefit in shining a torch on those outstanding individuals who will be tomorrow’s leaders.

“Telstra is immensely proud to be in partnership with ADMA who have created a compelling program in ADMA 30Below. The success of the program and the calibre of winners is a call to all young marketers and creatives to get involved.”

Entrants had to showcase their marketing and creative talents and demonstrate what makes them stand out from their peers. Judges for the Young Marketer of the Year review a candidate’s career achievements to date while judges for the Young Creative of the Year review the campaign concepts devised by young creatives. The winning creative campaign concept is used to promote the competition nationally the following year.

The overall winners will be announced on Friday 1 November at the ADMA Awards at The Star, Pyrmont. Tickets are now available at www.admaawards.com.au.

ADMA will fly the winner of each competition to New York City in 2014 on an all-expenses paid trip to meet with leading industry lights and agencies including Google Creative lab, OgilvyOne Worldwide and Anomaly.
