bonds-day1-web-221.jpgBonds will be protecting Aussie kids this summer with the Nipper Rash Vest Program confirmed for the tenth year in a row. Engagement agency Maverick, part of STW Group, conceived the idea and continues to work with Bonds each year to implement this valuable program that supports Surf Life Saving Australia.

The successful initiative sees Bonds provide high quality rash vests to Surf Life Saving Clubs nationally at a subsidised rate, allowing clubs to sell to their members to raise much needed funds. Bonds has also introduced a custom built website to assist clubs designing their own club rash vests.

Says Todd Marks, Maverick director: “This community program helps raise funding for Nippers through the Surf Life Saving Clubs whilst leveraging what Bonds does best, quality apparel. It’s a smart partnership and it’s exciting to see a grassroots concept we developed 10 years ago, which started with only 10 Surf Life Saving Clubs in NSW, grow to help 311 clubs across Australia.”

As an official community supporter of Nippers, Bonds works with Surf Life Saving Australia on this program to ensure the high quality design meets all of the sun and surf safety requirements, keeping our Nippers safe on the beach in Australia.

Says Cherie Kellett, national partnerships manager, Surf Life Saving Australia: “SLSA is excited to have Bonds on board again, as an Official Community Supporter of Nippers. By making the rash vests available to clubs, they are providing sun protection and water safety to our lifesavers-in-training around the nation.”

Says Tanya Deans, general manager, marketing Pacific Brands: “Bonds is proud to help protect kids and promote such a great Aussie institution – having Sunday fun at the beach. We are delighted to celebrate our 10th year supporting Nippers and thrilled that we have been able to extend our support to every surf club across Australia for the 2013/2014 season.”

The Bonds Nipper Rash Vest Program will roll out on beaches around Australia in October.
