Alistair Ferrier.jpgSydney’s design and production company Engine, has appointed a new executive producer, Alistair Ferrier (left), to help drive its creative and business growth in 2013 and beyond.

Ferrier has spent the last 3 years building Mediacom’s creative and production division, Mediacom Beyond Advertising, where he oversaw the development, production and delivery of long and short form projects ranging from TV Shows, online content, interactive films and TVCs.

Says Calvin Gardiner, managing director: “Alistair’s broad experience and knowledge of content creation is exactly what Engine was looking for. His work at Mediacom on projects like “Area52” for Alienware, Volkswagen’s “The Rok Adventure”, “The Mummy Diaries” for Bayer and NSW Health’s interactive online film “Enter the Party”, are just a few reasons why he stood out as a serious candidate. We are extremely pleased to have him on board and keep pushing Engine’s unique position as a design and production company.”

Prior to Mediacom, Ferrier produced ground breaking brand entertainment properties for Peer Group, including Bicardi Express and Uncharted TV series, and The Lab documentary project as their head of production.

Says Ferrier: “To me, Engine represent an immense opportunity to develop a wide slate of projects with a great bunch of talented people in a fantastic environment. Engine is evolving and I’m thrilled at the opportunity to help them deliver amazing work for their clients, exciting times ahead.”

The relocation to Surry Hills earlier this year accompanied by a total rebrand, and now a major hire, has reinforced Engine’s commitment to a changing market, and a necessary evolution in growth of services.
